Delani Monroe is the author of Soucouyant: A Gothic Romance. She wants to bring her Caribbean heritage into the things she loves most in literature (romance, gothic fiction, historical fiction, paranormal fiction, etc.). She is of Trinidad & Tobagonian and Guyanese heritage on her father's side. When Delani was in the 6th grade, she entered a poem writing competition and was one of three students in her class to have her poem chosen for the children's anthology. This was the moment she knew she was destined to be a writer.
When Delani is not writing, she spends time with her daughter. Together they love to try new foods, roller-skate, find new beaches and take their puppy to the park.
